Journalist Dave Marcus is an education expert. He has spoken across the country about his book, ACCEPTANCE: A Legendary Guidance Counselor Helps Seven Kids find the Right Colleges – and Find Themselves. Dave used to cover higher education for US News & World Report. NBC’s Today Show and National Public Radio’s Morning Edition have featured him.

Dave gives a fast-moving presentation that reassures parents and students suffering college application anxiety. Families and guidance counselors say they appreciate the uplifting messages and the touches of humor.

Sometimes Dave's co-presenter is Gwyeth Smith, who has been a guidance director and college adviser for more than thirty years. Most recently, he oversaw the guidance department at Oyster Bay High School on Long Island's Gold Coast. Known as the "guidance guru," he is featured in ACCEPTANCE.
