David L. Marcus advises CEOs, colleges and schools on communications. He speaks about education reform, college admissions and the job search.

Dave shared the Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting while living and working in Mexico City, Bogotá and Rio de Janeiro.

A former staff writer for the Boston Globe, Newsday and U.S. News magazine, he's also published articles in the New York Times and Vanity Fair.

After Dave turned his lens toward education and parenting, he wrote two critically acclaimed books: What It Takes to Pull Me Through (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) offers a look at struggling teens. Acceptance (Penguin Books) is an inside view of college admissions.

While researching the books, he taught high school English.

Education

An honors graduate of Brown University, Dave was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard. He credits night studies at Palm Beach Community College with changing his life.
